The Daily Mail Trophy is gathering pace and this week has seen some significant changes in the Top 10.

St Peter’s York and Harrow have both entered the Top 10 at the expense of Haileybury and Reed’s, while Wellington College have extended their advantage at the top.

That advantage could be cut this weekend though, Wellington have accumulated points this week as they faced Sherborne on Thursday night, however their rivals all have games on Saturday where they do not, and a good win for Sedbergh over Warwick would hand them the maximum number of points ahead of their clash with Wellington College in a week and a half’s time.

Cranleigh have solidified their position in third, but behind them Cheltenham College have jumped from eighth to fourth after their win over Radley College at Sixways on Wednesday night.

Canford remain in fifth, just 0.03 points ahead of the teams behind them in sixth and seventh. St Peter’s York have surged into the Top 10 this week, jumping straight into sixth after their thumping win over RGS Newcastle last weekend. They bump out Haileybury, who just missed out to Whitgift and are now in 14th place.

Kingswood slide from fourth to seventh through no fault of their own, they simply haven’t played an eligible game this week. Behind them Dean Close, whom they face at the end of the season in what looks likely to be a battle for a top 10 spot, move up ninth to eighth after last weekend’s win.

Harrow finally enter the Top 10 after another excellent victory on Saturday, coming into the Top 10 in ninth place, ahead of Northampton School for Boys who slide from seventh to tenth having not played an eligible game.

Chasing the Top 10 are Reed’s in 11th, just 0.04 points behind Northampton and looking to get back in the Top 10 after slipping out this week despite increasing their points tally.

QEGS Wakefield are a little further back on 5.17 in 12th, with Blundell’s in 5.10 in 13th, Haileybury are the only other side with over 5.00 merit points and they sit in 14th place.
