Last weekend did not see too much movement at the top end of the Daily Mail Trophy, with Wellington College, Sedbergh, and Cranleigh not having any qualifying fixtures.
Wellington College, who remain top, had a thrilling draw with Irish legends Blackrock College, Sedbergh did not have a game and stay in second, while Cranleigh, who remain third, played their old boys.
Kingswood remain in fourth but there is change below them as Canford leap from ninth to fifth following their win away at Marlborough College last weekend.
That bumps Haileybury down to sixth, though a win at Whitgift this weekend would see them take that position back, while below them Northampton School for Boys climbed a place from eighth to seventh.
That is a positional swap with Cheltenham College, although through no fault of their own, they did not have a game last weekend. Dean Close did have a game, and won it, however the lack of opposition bonus points from that fixture has seen them slide from sixth to ninth.
They are just 0.05 points ahead of Reed’s, who remain in 10th but only by a whisker, Monmouth in eleventh are level on 5.20 points despite having lost a game.
Colston’s are also breathing hot on the necks behind, they are in 12th on 5.10 points, while Harrow at St Peter’s York are level on 5.05 in thirteenth and fourteenth respectively.
This weekend could see a few shifts, almost all of the top fifteen or so have massive games that carry plenty of risk with them, as well as the reward of maximum opposition bonus points, so by this time next week we could see plenty more change.
